A Post for Lauren

I am blessed to have two beautiful daughters who are deeply devoted to each other. Lauren (22) has been depolyed to Afghanistan and we are missing her terribly, especially Casey since this weekend will be her 16th birthday and they so wanted to spend it together. We will manage just as so many other families are doing at this time. So why post, well I wanted to ask all my fellow bloggers to consider sponsering a soilder. There are so very many soilders who don't receive any mail, much less care packages. I know so many of you have been doing something already, but it seems since this war has been going on so long and so many have moved on with their daily lives. So as a mother of a deployed soilder, I would like to "remind" my friends that this war IS STILL going on and there are daughters, sons, fathers, mothers, and other family and friends that are on the battle field so that we can have the freedom to do this hobby we all so love. Take a moment now and say a prayer for a soilder, they could all use that!

Blessings to you all,

  1. Lauren and Casey are very beautiful young ladies. I know Lauren being gone is hard on you all, but you will get through it together. I think sponsoring a soldier is a great idea. I have done that before.

  2. Hi Cindy, hope you are feeling better, you've been missed. Your girls are beautiful. Wishing you the best for your family, I'm sure it is very hard to have your daughter deployed. We are appreciative of all of the military serving our country. Hope this isn't a dumb question, but how does one go about sponsoring a soldier? Does your dd know anyone in particular that could use some mail? I think it would be a wonderful thing to do with my children.

  5. Cindy, Casey and Lauren are so beautiful. I will check out the link you gave us. glad to see you posting on here, even if it is a pic of those two young ladies.

  6. Cindy- your daughters are both beautiful! What a nice post too- and I think it is such a wonderful cause too. I send boxes to soldiers once a month- have been doing it for about 5 yrs- I feel such gratitude to the soldiers-esp the ones in Iraq and Afghanastan- and their families. Bless you and hope you are feeling better!

  7. Wonderful post! You have lovely daughters.
