Happy Winter

I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season, I know I am.

I haven't entered any challenges in awhile, so I thought I would try something for the icopic challenge. The snowman and greeting are from GinaK Designs Snow Much Fun stamp set. The designer paper and cardstock are SU.
This little guy was so much fun, I think I will make up some more. Oh and I am so loving this designer paper!

Altered Journals

Yesterday I worked on altering note pads, today I worked on journals. I'm thinking these will make good thank you gifts, so it's nice to have several on hand.
I started by covering all of the journals with some SU designer paper I have been hoarding. Yes I tend to hoard a lot of supplies ;)

I started the first journal by coloring one of my new Tilda stamps with copic markers and then got out my nesties to cut out the image and sentiment (SU - Hope Happens). To finish I added some ribbon, flowers and stickles.

The second journal I kept rather simple. I used my nesties to cut out the sentiment (ODB - Let Us Begin) then added some flowers to each corner and adhered it to the journal. I finished by adding some ribbon on the side and stickles for a little sparkle.

The last journal I started by coloring the little girls (SU - The Nicest Friends) with my copic markers. I cut out the image and sentiment (also from SU - The Nicest Friends) and matted them using my nesties. I added some ribbon along the side, then debated as to how to finish. Several hours later I decided to stamp some flowers with my GinaK "Bring the Bling" stamp set. After stamping I added some paper flowers and stickles for sparkle.
That's it for today's projects, wonder what I will work on tomorrow.

Altered Note Pads

I finally got to spend the whole day in my craft room, WOOHOO!! And what's even better is I actually got some things done.....HAPPY DANCE..... Since I couldn't decide which stamps I wanted to use, I pulled out some that needed a little love :-)
I started the day by covering the front of the note pads with some SU card stock I have been hoarding. For the first note pad I colored a new TGF stamp "Sassy Suzi" with my copic markers. Next step was pulling out my nesties to cut out the image, sentiment (GinaK Designs "Elegant Verses") and designer paper from my scrap bin. Also from GinaK Designs I used a couple stamps from the "Bring the Bling" set (which I am loving so much)to add some dimension . I colored my "Bling" with a Sakura Glaze Pen (so loving them as well). To finish the card I added some Bella Baubles.

The second and third note pad were started by coloring some TGF images I received from my new craft friend Brandy (Thank You Brandy) with my copic markers. Again I used my nesties to cut out the images, sentiments (from the SU "Favorite Thoughts" set) and SU designer paper. Once again I used the "Bring the Bling" set to stamp the flourishes and added Stickles and Glaze Pen coloring for dimension and sparkle.

Don't they look cute all together? Maybe I can get a couple more note pads and a journal or two done before bed time, that would be awesome!!

Altered CD Case

So I was sitting here looking at a box of empty cd cases that I've been hoarding forever and came up with the idea of using them for post it note holders. The size post it pads I used was 4 x 4 so they fit into the cd case very well and I was able to make three cases with one pad since they are so thick. I started by coloring the sides with my permanent markers. The next step was to cut some double sided DP to fit the inside top and bottom. I adhered the post it pad with some tacky tape and then decorated the front and inside of the case. Pretty easy, don't you think? I will post the others once I get them decorated. This one I'm going to use for a thank you gift, I hope she likes it.

Journals Times Four

I have had a stack of composition notebooks in the closet waiting to be altered, so I pulled them out along with some designer paper I have been hoarding, some images I have colored with my new copics, my nesties, a few other embellishments and then went to work.

How cute are these Alota Bugs cuddled under a flower?

I'm really loving all the new Gina K Design Stamp Sets, so pretty and easy to pair.

Doesn't this designer paper make you ready for a vacation?

And look at this Tilda, so adorable, a birthday gift from my friend Heidi.

Thanks for stopping by and remember to leave some love!

Blessings to you all

My Day is Brighter

My project today is a card I made for the CropStop Sketch Challenge. All in all, it was a pretty simple card using designer paper, red brads, a button, decorative border punch, circle punch, and rub-ons. The stamps are from retired SU sets, but are favorites so I still use them from time to time.

I hope you enjoy the card and are having a blessed day.

A White Challenge

My good friend Heidi encouraged me to make a card for a white on white challenge, so this is the card I came up with. I used SU shimmer white (looks like vanilla in the picture) and whisper white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment and heart from the SU stamp set "Sweetheart" using poppy parade ink and used my scalloped heart dies along with my cuttlebug emboss folders to add some texture. I attached them to my card with pop dots and finished the card with my whisper white ribbon.

Geez, these white challenges are really hard!!

Blessings to you all

Birthday Wishes

I saw this layout in tackertwosomes gallery on SCS and just had to CASE it. It was really easy to make and I just love everything about it. I started with some doublesided DP, then I got out my nesties and ribbon. I finished the card with some baby pearls and now I can't wait to send this to the perfect birthday girl!

Blessings,
Cindy

2011 Calendar

Happy New Year!! I do hope the new year is starting out well for everyone.

My post today is a 2011 Calendar I made using a kit I received from my Swap Sister over at SCS.

I enjoyed making this calendar so much I want to make a couple more for gifts.

I started by coloring the flowers with my Spica Twinkling Like Stars Markers.

Next I used my die cuts to cut out the flowers, cardstock and a window on the designer paper.

I mounted the flowers on cardstock to match the flowers and the months to the back of the designer paper.

Next I made page corners for the top right and bottom left corners using a Martha Stewart border bunch.

I used my SU flower trio punch to punch the little flowers again using the same cardstock I used to match flower colors.

Next I added stickles to the center of the little flowers and then sponged the corners and calendar with the same ink as the cardstock.

I then finished each page by adding a quote.

I want to send another thank you to Sue, you couldn't have picked a better gift :-)

My SCS Swap Sisters are the best sisters in craft land!

Blessings,
